CD Projekt Red co-CEO Adam Badowski told PC Gamer that the option to romance Triss was added late in the game. Until then, the team had been focusing on Geralt's relationship with Yennefer. But adding Triss back into Geralt's heart gave the game more personality . "[The romance with Triss] wasn't [there] from the beginning," recalled Badowski. "But at some point we understood that this lack of conflict, personal conflict... There was a lack of something... This decision was made pretty late, but it was great. It was a great decision."

Silent Hill 2 remake launched in October 2024 as a PS5 console exclusive alongside its PC release. A year later, the survival horror game seems to be finally coming to Xbox. An Xbox Series S/X version of the remake, which was developed by Bloober Team, has been listed on the ESRB ratings website, which suggests an official announcement from Konami isn't that far off.

Hot off the heels of Halo: Campaign Evolved's official reveal, prominent Halo insider Halo Leaks on X stated Halo 2 and Halo 3 will get the same treatment. Like Halo: Campaign Evolved, which looks to remake Bungie's 2001 shooter with updated visuals, gameplay changes, and even new levels, both rumored remakes will include the addition of the sprint mechanic and will not feature multiplayer--only campaigns.

Glenn Israel said on LinkedIn that he is "no longer contributing to the Halo universe" after working on the sci-fi series since 2008. Israel got his start on the Halo franchise at Bungie before joining 343 Industries--now known as Halo Studios--as art director. Israel said in his post that there is "little more I can say for the moment" about the nature of his exit from the Halo development team.

Reb's Gaming, a small but reliable Halo reporter, has followed up on his last video in which he explained a source had given him several details about the long rumoured remaster/remake of Bungie's iconic first Halo game. Not only will it change the gameplay by including a sprint option, but it is also running on two game engines. In the first video, he explained a second team was working alongside Halo Studios,

"Back in June we let the community know that we'd be continuing the conversation from last year's HaloWC and the "A New Dawn" video and sharing more about what we've been working on," the studio said. "Like last year we'll be on the Main Stage to talk about it but this year we've also got a "deep dive" panel planned for the Community Stage that you won't want to miss."

Games environment artist Maarten Hof's's Modular Rural Cabin asset pack is part of the latest set of time-limited free content on the Fab Store store, and it features over 150 modular assets that 3D artists and game developers can use to create a high-fidelity remote getaway. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a full-blown remake of 2004's Metal Gear Solid 3, completely rebuilding the game using the software Unreal Engine 5. This means a completely overhauled visual style, a new over-the-shoulder gameplay mode, and a mix of other changes. But Delta falls into that bizarre middle ground as a remake, stretching the definition of the word. It's a game singularly focused on "preserving" the experience of the original, and because of that, a lot of the additions feel like afterthoughts.

Atlus has confirmed the remake of Persona 4, titled Persona 4 Revival, showcasing upgraded visuals likely powered by Unreal Engine 5 during the Xbox Games Showcase.
